Sarah May Lidren, LMP

Sarah is a dedicated Licensed Massage Practitioner who not only loves to learn, but loves to make learning fun.  She graduated in 2006 with a certification in Massage Therapy from Ashmead College in Fife, WA.  Sarah currently owns her own practice in Gig Harbor, WA and focuses on treatment massage but is well versed in many different areas including relaxation, pregnancy, and aromatherapy.  Sarah has experience teaching Kinesiology and Swedish massage at Massage Connection.  She hopes to help her students become successful therapists who strive to make a difference in the lives of their clients.

   

Wendy Corlett, LMP

Wendy has been in the massage profession for over 20 years and she has been a massage instructor for 10 years. She has owned her own Day Spa in Federal Way and wrote the curriculum for and started a massage program for a local technical college. Her other skills include being a certified tutor helping children and adults in reading, writing and arithmetic.
   

Andrea Malloy, LMP

Andrea has been in the massage industry since 2006. She specializes in treatment massage at South Sound Treatment Massage in Puyallup. She has been teaching at Massage Connection since 2008 where she has taught Kinesiology, Business and Massage Theory and Practice. To ensure Washington State therapists receive current and valuable informatiom they can use in their daily practice she created the "Intelli-Touch Continuing Educational Review Series" and also maintains an online resource center to educate and advocate present and future LMP's.
   

Tracy Wilson, LMP

Tracy was a surgery scheduler for 15 years, responsible for insurance claim billing. She received her National Certification for Massage Therapy in 2005 in order to pursue her goal of practicing Active Release Technique (ART). She is the author of Insurance contracting in Washington State for Massage Therapists: A manual for LMP’s.
   

Christy Cael, BS, ATC, CSCS, LMP

Christy is a Licensed Massage Practitioner, Certified Athletic Trainer and Certified strength and conditioning specialist. She has been delivering adult education for coaches, fitness professional and massage therapists since 1997. Christy specializes in treatment massage, massage for individuals with disabilities and Craniosacral therapy. She has written a core textbook entitled Functional Anatomy: Kinesiology and Palpation for Manual Therapists for Lippincott Williams & Wilkins, scheduled for release in October 2009. Christy currently works with the ABMP writing continuing education courses and developing educational and professional materials for massage therapists and bodyworkers.
   

Cameron Buhl, LMP

Cameron is a professional and dedicated health care provider with experience in treatment massage, student clinic management and adult education. His expertise includes Deep Tissue and Treatment Massage, Energy Techniques and work with special populations including pediatric and prenatal massage, patients with disabilities and Athletes. Cameron has been practicing massage since 2005 and taught Theory, Practice, and Kinesiology classes as an adjunct faculty member for a massage program and was an assistant instructor for classes in a fitness-training program.

   

Cheryl Roma, B.S, P.T, NCBTM

Cheryl received her B.S. in Physical Therapy as well as her Athletic Training Certification in 1993 from Marquette University. In 2001 she completed the Massage Therapy program at East-West College of Healing Arts. She has practiced P.T. in California, Oregon, Hawaii and Washington, specializing in orthopedic rehabilitation and ergonomics.
   

Rachel A. Iacobazzi Riecan, LMP

Rachel has been a licensed massage practitioner since 2009. She attended Gonzaga University, earning a BA in foreign languages and business. After gaining post-graduate experience in accounting, management, sales, and marketing, she changed her career path to health care and attended Massage Connection, with future goals of becoming a naturopathic doctor. Having a background in athletics, Rachel specializes in treatment and rehabilitative massage at Bluestone Wellness, a business she co-owns with her husband.

We are now offering a professional clinic with our licensed graduates.

Student Clinic
Students are required to perform student clinic massages in order to improve their skills as well as learn how to work on different body types and personalities. This professional clinical setting is a great way for students to gain experience working with a variety of clientele with instructor supervision and support.

Unique Styles of Teaching
Massage Connection will combine unique styles of teaching and policy that enhances the students and faculty’s ability to work as a team. Each student will be approached as an individual without the assumption that one form or style of instruction can accomplish every student’s goals. Massage Connection will focus on the scientific knowledge of the body, a variety of advanced massage techniques, communication skills and business practices to create an optimally effective massage therapist. The educational process will be both productive as well as enjoyable. Successful practitioners will be the schools greatest accomplishment.
